Evangelists: Why They’re the Driving Force Behind Your Blog’s Success

God love ‘em, they’re crazy about you and your blog!

Evangelists: Reward Em!

They’d walk up to a perfect stranger and tell them to walk, no…RUN..RIGHT NOW…to a WiFi spot and surf over to your blog.

They comment on every post.

They can’t wait for your next product or service to be released and often are the first to buy when you put up a pre-release sales page.

Who are these wonderful people who think you’re the best thing to come down the proverbial pike since 9-grain bread?

You can’t buy customers like this!

They’re your blog’s evangelists and they’re your dream come true.

Why evangelists are your most precious resource

Evangelists are your dream come true for many reasons.  But here’s three that are really cool!

Evangelists decrease your need for marketing

Think about it. An army of individuals who support you; who believe what you say because it’s worked for them: Imagine all of them telling two or three friends or colleagues about your business. Imagine never having to launch a blog marketing campaign again…ever.

OK, I know. Marketing is so much fun that I know you’d never really give it up. ;)    But just think, with the support of an army of zealous evangelists, you can certainly cut back and focus on more immediately productive actions, right?

Evangelists help decrease new customer resistance

If I need a new widget, I can Google until the cows come home without making a buying decision. But if my best friend, or some one else that I trust, tells me about how they bought this one widget and how it worked flawlessly, then my resistance to buy just vanished.  I’m more likely to go right out and buy the very same widget my friend did because the recommendation came from someone I know and trust. Lots of people know and trust your evangelists.

Evangelists are great for your bottom line

No one buys as rapidly or as often than a very satisfied customer. Evangelists, because they’ve purchased or benefited from you and your blog many times previously, are your best customers.  They trust you, they know you, they have no doubt you’re going to deliver on your promises.  Only the most satisfied customers will keep buying from you each time you release a new product or service.

Yes, evangelists are your dream come true.  They can be the difference between breaking and banking.  Seems to me they ought to be given a position of honor in your blog-religion’s seating arrangement! 8-)

    Hey Baz!

This series is pure freaking Genius!

I remember discussing this with U last year.. it’s really come of age.

What’s scary though are the Google Ads that come up with your posts.

I used to follow Yaro as well.

BUT, he’s TOO MUCH 4 me!

I’d rather be a Barry Krishna than an Yaroite!

    Smooches, LL

@Double L – Thanks for your enthusiasm, Lyle. :) We should talk about an idea I have for a membership community. It’s in the works already. I might need your help. Benefits, await. :)

Re: Yaro – He’s a ‘practical genius.’ Of the ‘gurus’ I’ve followed over the years, his approach is absolutely hype-free and laden with benefits to his students. He’s the Mark Silver of blogging – high praise from this evangelist. ;)

As I recall … I wound up following Yaro because of my Blogging Mentor Andy Wibbels.

NOT exactly sure how to articulate what currently ‘bugs’ me about Yaro.

Maybe I’m just sensitive because of illness … and just can’t cope with RAH RAH . even practical rah rah .. cause I’m still to freaking overwhelmed to even take a baby step in Yaro’s direction. SO .. not him … more me .. maybe someday I’ll go back when I can handle

    Or, maybe not?

    Time will tell.

Do know that I WILL NEVER go back to the church of my childhood uprbringing.. I am a RECOVERING fundamentalist … can’t drink the Koolaid any more!

    Luving this dialogue.

YES .. let’s chat about the forum et al.

    Send warmth north .. it’s -26 with windchill that’s -20 F

    To Phreaking cold

    So .. .

like a BIG clue that a person is an “Unsticking Coach” evangelist is when they said to me, “You are my hero!”

Hells bells .. I don’t want to be no phreaking hero .. .heroes get shot!
